The Shoulder Drama

For those of you who have been following it all, I finally got my first physical therapy appointment for my shoulder this last week, thirteen and a half weeks after the fall that necessitated it. At this time, I’m looking at therapy every Monday and Wednesday morning at 8:30am for the next six weeks.

The MRI I had showed a torn rotator cuff and what the doctor said was “a lot of arthritis” in the shoulder join, which explains the amount of pain I’ve been experiencing for all that time. Hopefully the therapy will help to tone that chronic pain down and I will be able to get something resembling a full night’s sleep at some point in the near future.

I’m glad that I don’t have to move my right arm around a lot to write but you’d be surprised when you find out how many muscles in that general area that you use but never really realize it. I seem to have become intimately familiar with those muscles at this point.

So, if you near strings of sulphurous profanity emanating from somewhere on the West Coast, you’ll know it’s me.

I (sort of) apologize in advance.
